Rhiannon

Working primarily in sculpture and installation, Rhiannon Jones’ work is a process-based investigation into the ‘materiality’ of action and intent. Loosely referencing the idea of cause and effect, the work concerns stripping actions of their functions and focuses on the act itself. Pre-determined constraints such as material limitations; for example, no glue which would engineer the end result, allow the material and action to define the outcome. This method embraces the uncertainty of chance, and the fine line between success and failure.
